SiSKIN Applied –

Research on Supply Security

The SiSKIN Applied research project investigates how critical infrastructures such as water supply or hospitals can be reliably operated even during widespread power outages. Together with Bergische Universität Wuppertal and Neue Effizienz, Lülf+ is working on optimizing island grid concepts by integrating renewable energies and storage technologies. Our focus is on creating a guideline for energy suppliers, based on workshops for blackout preparedness. The goal is to support companies in establishing effective emergency and crisis management processes and sustainably strengthening their resilience in the event of a blackout. The project started in 2025 and runs until 2028.
