Crisis Communication for Municipal Press Officers
Crisis communication training for municipal press officers
The responsibilities of Section 5 (Staff Spokespersons/Citizen and Media Relations) are often handled by the press offices of a municipality or district. However, the scope of duties during operations, crises, or disasters differs fundamentally from the everyday public relations work of the authority.
In recent years, the field of crisis communication has expanded massively due to the rapid growth of social media – at the same time, the correct handling of press representatives remains very important and must be practiced repeatedly.
In this seminar, participants receive an overview of the various communication channels, learn how to handle them confidently, and can specifically practice how to appear competent in front of the microphone and camera during operations.
